Centers in Albania, a social media clash between the FdI and the Pd: "You're rowing against Italy," "Empty prisons are expensive."

A social media back-and-forth between the Brothers of Italy (FdI) and the Democratic Party (PD). The prime minister's party posted a video on Instagram of the Democratic Party secretary mocking Giorgia Meloni over the centers in Albania : "They won't work," she chanted, contradicting the prime minister's promises. For this reason, Meloni's supporters accused her of defeatism in the post: "While the Meloni government is working to combat illegal immigration and protect the borders, the Democratic Party secretary rejoices if deportations are hindered. Elly, you can be in opposition without rowing against Italy."
The Democratic Party promptly responded in the comments: "Are you still defending empty prisons in Albania? A project that violates human rights, costing a billion euros, and is also illegal. Shame on you."
For the Democrats, "the real question is how can you remain in government while continuing to row against Italy? What you've done with tariffs, taxes on multinationals, and military spending, damaging the national interest because of your political subservience to Trump, is against Italy," the Democrats retort.
